How are the Mechanical Fees calculated?

Our system calculates the cost of the Mechanical Fees exclusively for downloads. Streaming is not taken into account.

The Mechanical Fees are calculated in the following manner:

A fixed amount: 0,0910$ for the 3 first minutes of a track
Then a variable amount: 0,0175$ a minute from the 3rd minute + 1 second.

For an album sale, the calculation is done for each track.
In short, the longer the track, the higher the Mechanical Fee will be.
