How to file a content claim

You may eventually stumble upon content that belongs to you but is being monetized by another party. If the fraudulent content infringes on your copyrights you may file a content claim directly with the DMS (Digital Music Services). Here are is the procedure you must follow according to the DMS:

  • Using forms to:

  • By e-mail to:

– Deezer : [email protected]

– Napster : [email protected]

How to file a DMCA Notice by e-mail (automatic takedown, first legal step):

  • Information you must provide about the claimant:

– Name / First Name

– Company

– Address

– E-mail

– Your link to the original right-holder (label / management / exclusive distributor etc)

  • Information you must provide about the copyright infringement:

– Sound Recording / Artwork / Trademark ?

– Link to a litigious content claim

– Short explanation about the infringement

  • Statements:

– I hereby state that I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law

– I hereby state that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
